Le Bistro Sensi

Mediterranean tapas with a Gallic twist

The French bistro concept of affordable, unpretentious food is taken on by Le Bistro Sensi in the Gothic Quarter, and elaborated to near perfection.

With its dark wood floors, exposed brickwork, rustic tabletops and crimson walls, the restaurant’s decor creates a homely atmosphere in which to enjoy the kitchen’s offer of Mediterranean tapas, with a soupçon of Gallic goodness sprinkled in.

Stand outs on the menu include: truffled eco potato ‘tortilla’ and wild mushroom mayonnaise; beef fillet, tarragon ‘jus’, mashed eco potatoes and kilometre-zero smoked carrots; sauted rock mussels with creamy white wine sauce and parsley; and not forgetting the house version of paella with squid ink and roasted garlic emulsion. If that doesn’t get your mouth watering then book an appointment at the doctor’s to check your saliva glands.

The attention to local and eco-friendly products extends to the wine list featuring many great references from Catalonia’s and Spain’sdenominacion de origenwine regions.
