Portal de l’Angel isn’t just one of the biggest shopping streets in Barcelona – it’s actually one of the biggest in all of Spain. It’s also the most expensive street in the whole country, with a square metre renting for around a pricey €265 on average.

Still, that doesn’t mean all the shops here are expensive luxury brands; on the contrary, this is where you’ll find just about every Spanish and international high street shop, such as Zara, H&M, Pull&Bear, Bershka and a Corte Ingles department store.

Note that shops in Spain are closed on Sundays unless it’s a special occasion like the start of the summer sales.
