Museum of Natural Sciences

Science museum by the seaside

也被称为位于蓝色,或“蓝色Museum”, Barcelona’s Natural Science Museum is located in the distinctive Herzog & de Meuron’s Forum Building – which is not referred to as the floating blue cheesecake for nothing – close to the seaside over atParc del Forum.

Within this cobalt-coloured triangular edifice you’ll find photographic displays of natural phenomena, the always-popular dinosaur exhibition, and a Living Planet display that explains nearly everything you might be interested in related to the history of our blue planet, starting with the Big Bang and continuing to present day.

The museum offers plenty of things for family to enjoy as a group, including workshops, games and educational activities. They have a special section aimed at their youngest visitors (under age 6). Adults aren’t forgotten either – there are a selection of lectures, debates and more that will fascinate curious adults.

The team behind the Museu de Ciencies Naturals de Barcelona also run theJardi Botanic(Botanical Gardens) on the slopes of Montjuic, on the other side of the city, which makes an excellent stop for any nature-lover.
