Free Walking Tour
Free walking tour of the Old Town
So you want a full 2.5 hour guided tour of some of Barcelona’s biggest and best attractions? With a knowledgeable, funny and charismatic guide? …But you don’t want to pay a single cent!?!
As luck would have it, we might just have the dream activity for you. One of Barcelona’s longest serving tour companies, Travel Bound, offer free English language walking tours every day and their expert guides will talk you through the genesis of the city from the early settlers to present day, introducing you to Roman ruins, Gothic cathedrals, the oldest synagogue in Europe, and the works of great artists like Picasso and Miro (and indeed some fantastic contemporary street art) along the way.
This is no dry and dusty factual tour though, and you’ll also get an insight into Catalan culture and identity… very important as you’ll soon offend the locals if you don’t differentiate Catalonia from the rest of the Spain!
The tour actually leaves three times a day, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, from Travel Bar (just off Las Ramblas) so you can even choose the best time of the day to suit you. You even get a free drink at the end of the tour back at the bar.
Are there any catches or hidden expenses? No, but if you do enjoy the tour you are encouraged to give the guide a tip.
If you are big group (8 or more people) please advise them in advance you are coming.
