Flamenco & Tapas
Two classic Spanish experiences in one night
One night, two essential components of Spanish culture:188188金宝搏 , the passionate gypsy song and dance synonymous with Spain, and餐前小吃, the habit of eating a meal composed of small plates of delicacies to share.
During this very special introduction to the country’s most famous traditions, you’ll first make your way to an authentic Barcelona flamenco house or ‘tablao‘. Here professional dancers and musicians will regale you with a sensational display of the art form at its finest. Passionate refrains, intense hand-clapping and foot-stopping and exquisite guitar playing at times caress and at times assault the ears, just as precise dance moves and those swirling dresses hypnotise your eyes. If you’ve never seen a live flamenco show before, this is an absolute must see.
The concert lasts 30-35 minutes, after which you will be taken to a local restaurant to sample 9 different types of tapas, including classics likepimientos del padron, patatas bravasandchorizo al vino, washed down with generous measures of refreshing sangria.
The tapas include plenty of vegetarian options, so vegetarians won’t go hungry.
Price
This particular flamenco evening is probably the most cost effective in Barcelona atjust 45 eurosper person – around half of what you might pay for a show with dinner at the priciertablaoson the Ramblas.
When?
The activity runs twice a night, at 7pm and 8pm (the shows themselves start at 7:30 and 8:30pm, giving you enough time to meet your guide and make the short walk to the flamenco venue).
在哪里?
Both the flamenco venue and the restaurant are located in the charming, medieval Gothic Quarter. The meeting point beforehand is outside Travel Bar, on Carrer Boqueria 27. Nearest metro stop is Liceu (while metro Jaume I is also close by).

Felt like a really authentic show. The food was really good as well. We had to walk a short distance from the meeting point to the show, and then the restaurant afterwards was also nearby in the Gothic Quarter.4 years ago

The show was great! But we regret getting the flamenco and tapas. They don’t tell you before hand that you have to walk to the theater, then walk to dinner afterwards. My mom has bad knees and can’t walk very fast. On the way to the restaurant we were left behind, even though I mentioned to the guide that we might be slower. If my brother hadn’t run up to ask for the name of the restaurant so we could find our own way we would never had found it and just been left behind. The tapas come after the show and were ok. Be prepared to spend a few hours there though. We had to leave before all the tapas came out because we had reservations at 11 at another bar for drinks and had to leave at 10:30. When we made the reservations it said it would last 2 hours, so we thought we would be done around 10 and have plenty of time. The flamenco show was wonderful but I would suggest you buy tickets for that and do dinner on your own.4 years ago

When I saw the price I thought there must be a mistake... but we were treating to a first class show and a very decent tapas meal of around 10 dishes to try. If you have never seen a flamenco concert before this is the perfect introduction. We also met some other nice travellers during the meal part of the night.5 years ago
