Eat My Trip

Cute space for brunch, cakes and smoothies

This cute little space in Eixample is a labour of love by its owner Genia, whose dream was to open a brunch cafe serving creative cuisine inspired by her travels around the world.Et voila, Eat My Trip brunch restaurant and bakery was born in 2018!

There’s a cosmopolitan touch to everything on the menu, where European, Asian and Latin American influences collide. For example you can order Belgian waffles in the American style, with Thai Sriracha sauce and Spanish chorizo, while eggs benedict is given a Thai makeover with panang curry sauce and hazelnut dukkah. A popular option is their Alpine-style brunch, which is a skillet of truffled roasted potatoes, with two poached eggs, melted gruyer cheese, herb mascarpone, mushrooms, pickles, parmesan shavings and artisan multi-seed bread toasts. Heidi would be proud.

Aside from their seven stellar ‘brunch specials’, Eat My Trip’s menu includes a number of salad bowls, toasties and tapas, making it perfect for a light bite stopover, while sweet tooths will be in seventh heaven, as they ponder over the enticing selection of smoothie bowls (fresh fruit and plant-based ice creams, with no added sugar), as well as their homemade pastries and cakes. A range of daily specials, such as delicious soft sponge Japanese pancakes, keep the menu fresh.

Whatever you order you can be sure it will be crying out for anInstagram post, as each dish is meticulously prepared and gorgeously presented, often with a touch of fantasy, such as the candy flossclochethat covers the house waffles.

If you’re lucky you’ll be able to snag one of Eat My Trip’s pastel-blue tables on the street, but if not the cosy interior is almost as fun with its wood panels, fairy lights and cake displays.
