The area aroundBarcelona’s biggest club, Razzmatazz, is home to quite a few cavernous student-filled bars with inexpensive drinks. The newest of these on the scene is D9, a tapas and sports bar that’s always got something going on.

The bar is especially buzzy on weekends, Wednesday nights, when international students come to get their drink on beforeheading out to dance, and when there are major football games showing. For big matches, they pull down a giant screen that you can see well from almost everywhere in the bar. It gets pretty full, so you have to book in advance for really big football matches (like, say,El Clasico).
